JOIN HIGH POINT BALLET

High Point Ballet strives to and excels in providing an encouraging, positive, and inspiring environment for all aspiring dancers. Performing members are eligible for participation in all major performances as well as several festivals and conferences held throughout the year. Members benefit from training with award winning choreographers, professional performers, and seasoned technical and creative staff from throughout the nation. In addition, masters classes in all forms of dance are offered to members.

High Point Ballet is a nationally branded entity recognized throughout the Triad, Southeast, and United States and is an ambassador for the High Point Arts Community that has withstood the test of time.

PERFORMING MEMBERS

Auditions and membership are open to all aspiring dancers age 8 and older. High Point Ballet strives to and excels in providing an encouraging, positive, and inspiring environment for all aspiring dancers. Performing members are eligible for participation in all major performances as well as several festivals and conferences held throughout the year. Members benefit from training with award winning choreographers, professional performers, and seasoned technical and creative staff from throughout the nation. In addition, masters classes in all forms of dance are offered to members.

Performing members commit to an annual performance season of June through June. Fees include Membership, tuition, and production fees. Annual performing member auditions are held typically on the third weekend in March and on a case-by-case basis. AUDITIONS

2023-2024 Auditions March 4 (Or on an Individual Basis Year-Round)

The audition process consists of participating in a ballet/pointe class based on current member levels. If this is your first time auditioning with the High Point Ballet, Please contact HPB directly for appropriate audition time. 336-887-4472, chat@highpointballet.org.

For annual auditions, a panel of dance experts, including the Director(s) of the High Point Ballet, will adjudicate the High Point Ballet auditions. It is important to understand the adjudication process is subjective. The auditions will begin as close to the designated time as possible. The adjudication process begins as soon as the dancer walks onto the dance floor. No parents, guardians, or caretakers will be allowed in the audition studio. Adjudicators will observe each dancer as they perform a variety of movements.

Dancers auditioning on a case-by-case basis will be invited to participate in a current ballet/pointe class for placement level adjudication.
